Welcome to diving! I am excited to be part of your new adventure! You have made an excellent choice by selecting Boise Scuba as the people to help you in this new journey. I am a contract instructor for Charlie and appreciate the relationship we share. A few things as we get started.
Please be on time and ready to train. You have fellow divers just as excited as you are to get started. Please be respectful of their time.

On Thursday May 13 We will meet on backside of the Nampa Rec Center at 615pm and class starts at 630pm.
Bring ALL of your gear. Fill your tanks the day after class at the dive shop.
Our open water certification weekend will be May 15 and 16 in Wendover Utah. I will provide more information for you. I love this training site. It has a ton of hidden gems that once you gain confidence and skills, it will become a favorite.
Some IMPORTANT NOTES ABOUT BLUE LAKE
- There are NO FACILITIES at Blue Lake. Many divers opt to bring their own porta-potty. Serious folks, there are not any trees to hide behind to do your business.
- Take plenty of water and a between dive light lunch.
- We meet at Arby’s at 11 am BOISE TIME. Take special note of this because Wendover has two time zones. Have a watch set aside for BOISE TIME. All dives and events are run on this schedule.
- We leave from Arby’s in Wendover at NOON to convoy out to the site.
- The road to Blue Lake is a bumpy dirt road. Please drive with caution.
- We dive on both Saturday and Sunday. We finish anywhere between 12-3pm Sunday
- Bring a towel and change of clothes with you for the drive back.
- Wendover has limited lodging. Book now.
- You will need 4 tanks and ALL YOUR GEAR including snorkels
- Please pick up extra weights.
- TEST ALL YOUR GEAR AT THE SHOP
- You will need extra weights to compensate for the addition of wetsuit bottoms PLUS weight you were borrowing from me. Please add the weight you borrowed PLUS 8lbs
Please purchase your mask, fins, snorkel, boots, AAS keeper, and log book right away. The experience is much better if you have your own gear. The team at Boise Scuba Center can help you.
Please take a look at some of the other links on this site. There is helpful information for you.
