Water.

What is it about water that draws us in?

Water is power in pure form. It can cut through rock and metal, but it is essential to sustain life. It cuts its way through the most difficult obstacles, letting nothing stand in its way.

Time and the right amount of pressure is all that is required for it to carve out something beautiful. Think of the Grand Canyon. Carved out of solid rock over time with nothing but the power of water.

Water can also be relaxing and create a sense of calm. A flowing brook, the sound of rain falling, or the gentle sound of the surf as it laps on the beach have a way to making the noise of the world stop—even if it is just for a moment.

It can be cleansing whether physical or spiritual. It can carry ships across oceans and be the liquid bridge between civilizations. It can deprive you of oxygen and drown you, crushing all air pockets in your body as you sink to the abyss.

My experience with the power of water came at a time in my life when my PTSD almost took my life. (this is a continuing work)
